After Chores Hot Cocoa
It's winter and it's cold! Whether you're coming in from chores, errands, or work - try warming up with this perfectly balanced cup of cocoa. It's sure to warm the heart (and hands)!
  • Prep Time:
  • Cook Time:
  • Servings: 1

Ingredients

  • (2.5 tsp) cocoa powder
  • (2 tbsp) sugar
  • (1 cup) whole milk
  • (dash) salt
  • (splash) vanilla

Directions

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Heat 1 cup of milk (or whatever size your mug is) over stovetop on medium-low for 5-7 minutes, stirring continuously. You can alternatively heat the milk in a microwave on high for 1-2 minutes if you prefer.
  3. Remove milk from heat just before it boils and pour half into mug. Add in dry ingredients and stir slightly.
  4. Add in the remaining milk and stir.
  5. Add in vanilla and stir until clumps are gone and enjoy!

This recipe is written for a single serving, but if you're making more for friends and family, simply size the ingredients up accordingly and enjoy!

**Don't forget the garnish! Put the final touch on your cocoa with marshmallows, peppermint, chocolate shavings - whatever you like best. :)
